Christmas in July: A Day of Joy, Giving & Community
We’re proud to partner with the James L. and Juliette McNeil Preschool Academy at Hopkins House in Alexandria, VA, for our inaugural Christmas in July community event. This collaboration allows us to bring our mission to life in a space rooted in education, family, and service. Hosted on the Academy’s grounds, the event will be family-friendly and open to the entire community — a joyful, welcoming day where people of all ages can come together to enjoy hot meals, wellness activities, and uplifting experiences. We’re grateful to Hopkins House for opening their doors to help us make serve and uplift.
Here’s what you can expect:
Live DJ keeping the vibes high with feel-good tunes
Face painting for the kids (and adults who love a little sparkle)
Wellness Corner hosted by a local DNP — stop by for helpful health tips, blood pressure checks, and good-for-the-soul conversations
Electric skateboard demos — come watch (or try!) the latest in fun-on-wheels
Free hot meals served with love — including hamburgers, hot dogs, and cold drinks for 750 community members
Pizza, wings, and other delectables for purchase and offered to the wider community, with 100% of the proceeds supporting the Foundation’s mission
Exciting raffles throughout the day — a chance to win something fun while giving back.
This is our time to give, gather, and grow together — and to introduce new faces to the work we do all year long. Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, bringing the kids to play, or dancing in the street, your presence helps us uplift and serve more families in need.
